NEIGHBORHOOD - WESTMOOR
Located south of downtown Oklahoma City just minutes from I-35, Westmoor is a community of mobile homes. It occupies the northwestern “corner” formed by the intersection of S Santa Fe Avenue and SW 149th and 19th Streets.
Several restaurants and grocery stores are close to Westmoor, and there are also public parks for relaxation and recreation. The community has a pool, basketball court, clubhouse, and frisbee golf course for residents to enjoy. In addition, there are planned activities and events all year long to bring the community together. Management makes an effort to make living in Westmoor affordable by offering simple financing options, some of which include options for low down payments.
This region experiences hot, humid summers with near-constant breezes that help alleviate some of that. Winters can be harsh, and heavy snowfall is likely to occur from time to time. Westmoor is in Tornado Alley, a portion of the central United States particularly susceptible to the formation of tornadoes. To that end, Westmoor also has a storm shelter for residents’ safety.

African Americans comprise the next-largest group at about 14%. The fastest-growing group has been the Hispanic population, which has increased by more than 85% in recent decades to make up more than 10% of the overall population. Median age in the region is close to 35.
